Signs You May Have Experienced Satanic Ritual Abuse as a Child

WHY THIS PAGE? A RENEWED RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
Traumatic events can significantly alter our lives. They happen for reasons beyond our understanding. If we look deeply into these events, we can see that God is drawing us to Him. Some trauma memories do not surface until later in life. Mystifying trauma memories can surface when we seek them, but they can also come seemingly at random. Forgotten or buried trauma will wait until a better time in our life to process the event or events. The mystery of forgotten traumas can motivate us to seek answers about our past, our ancestry, and even about God, that we never would’ve sought otherwise.
Job 12:22
He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings deep shadows into light.
GOD WILL CLEANSE YOU OF YOUR PAST
As you investigate your past, especially if you suspect or remember being part of ritual abuse, church abuse, cults, or similar types of things, remember to take special tender care of yourself. If you experience any triggers like dissociation or fear as you read this page, take a break, rest and pray. Have someone trusted you can call on, or some prayers you can pray to help you through any tough moments. Let yourself take this slow. Treat yourself more kindly than normal, even if you initially seem fine.
If you have a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, ask Him to guard your eyes and heart and to lead you into all truth. If you don’t have a saving relationship with Jesus, there are prayers at the top of this page that you can pray to be saved right now today!
BE ENCOURAGED
Healing trauma is a brave expedition. Most people carry complex trauma in this day. But few face the difficult truths that so many people work hard to deny and push away. In a world that mocks truth-seekers and whistleblowers, I pray you feel safe here, and that you understand that your pursuit of truth and healing is something God designed for you. Be encouraged that God loves you, and has a plan for you. Jesus is the Truth. He’s the Light that has no shadow of darkness. There is nothing hidden in God. He reveals all truth by His very nature.
For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
– Luke 8:17
WHAT IF I NEVER REMEMBER THE TRAUMA?
Trauma sometimes results in partial memories or missing memories, especially when they occur early in childhood. It’s ok if you don’t remember everything about the events of your past. God knows it all, and He can heal you, even if memories are blank or fuzzy, or if you can’t prove what you’ve begun to remember. There is nothing impossible with God. He cares for you and has already provided your total healing, even if you never remember it all.
‘For I will restore you to health
And I will heal you of your wounds,’ declares the Lord,
‘Because they have called you an outcast, saying:
“It is Zion; no one cares for her.”’
– Jeremiah 30:17He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds.
– Psalm 147:3… “He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.”
– Matthew 8:17
WOULDN’T I REMEMBER IT IF SOMETHING HUGE HAPPENED TO ME?
God designed our bodies and minds to put certain traumas away that would interrupt the normal function of our lives. Some events and experiences get filed away until we come to a better, safer time that we can process all that happened. It’s a natural human survival response to compartmentalize painful events. Sometimes the actual memories of these events get temporarily or permanently lost, but the physical, mental and emotional symptoms of the trauma tend to remain. This mechanism protects you and me.
If you don’t remember details of your past, but you see these signs of trauma in your thought life, emotional life, or your physical body, allow yourself to simply connect a few dots for the time being, and gradually let some fears and feelings release.
When you’re ready, take a look through the checklist below. If many of these listed signs are true for you, it’s possible that you or someone in your bloodline MAY HAVE BEEN touched by trauma related to ritual initiation.
WHY DIDN’T SOMEBODY SAVE ME?
Trauma and abuse is not simple, but God’s gift of salvation is. It may sound oversimplified, but the salvation of your soul is the only truth that leads to redemption and eternal life. Every person in this world can call out to the risen Savior, Jesus Christ, the Messiah at any time. By receiving His free gift of salvation, every believer can be washed clean of our old life forever, and walk in a brand new life.
WHAT IF I CAN’T BE SAVED?
God has called all the world to Himself, every single person, including you. If you want to receive the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ of Nazareth the Messiah, you can be saved at any time. All you need to do is sincerely confess out loud that Jesus is Lord of your life, and you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. When you confess and believe, Jesus will be your risen Savior.
… that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him out from the dead, you will be saved. – Romans 10:9
… for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” – Romans 10:13
And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has promised, among the remnant called by the LORD.
– Joel 2:32
CAN I FULLY AND PERMANENTLY HEAL FROM RITUAL ABUSE?
Yes, you can completely heal. Sometimes validation of some of your life perspectives and views is all it takes to heal. Having validation can explain why some memories, triggers or thought patterns always mystified you. If you believe you’ve been exposed to ritual initiation of some kind, and you would like to pursue healing in a context of biblical faith, please make use of the resources linked at the bottom of this page to support your healing journey.
WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT HARMED ME AND OTHERS?
Christians are called to separate from those who do evil.
You who love the Lord, hate evil; He protects the souls of His godly ones (believers), He rescues them from the hand of the wicked.
– Psalm 97:10
As we are set apart, we are also called to forgive everyone in our hearts, having faith that God is a just and perfect judge.
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
– Matthew 6:14
God knows that some who have sinned will eventually come to repentance, and some will not. God gives everything His time and then His judgment comes.
For after all it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
– 2 Thessalonians 1:6
If those who harmed you seem to be free or blessed, do not worry, only walk closely with God and trust His greater plan.
Isaiah 29:15
Woe to those who dig deep to hide their plans from the LORD. In darkness they do their works and say, “Who sees us, and who will know?”
WHY USE THIS CHECKLIST?
A good tool for uncovering and healing buried trauma is a symptom checklist. A symptom checklist helps you see if you have signs of trauma, even if you don’t remember any specific traumatic events. So this is what I’ve created for you below. This checklist is meant to help the root of certain memories or life patterns be found.
If you discover or suspect ritual abuse, your trauma is not who you are! Do not let potential truths about your past or your ancestry scare you, or shame you. Many children and adults suffer inexplicable events. Keep in mind that if anything did happen to you, you have survived and you are safe right now. Traumatic events have nothing to do with who you were born to become.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I RESEARCH INTO MY PAST?
The important thing is discovering only the parts of your past that will push you forward in your healing, cleansing and redemption process in Jesus Christ. The idea is to heal and get on with your purpose in the world.
